Health Ministry activates coronavirus “risk”map

The Health Ministry has activated a coronavirus “risk” map identifying the risk of Covid-19 in various districts.

The new code system, which is designed as a pandemic plan, reflects the spread of the virus in different districts and spells out specific public health measures as well as instructions to hospitals with regard to readiness for patient influxes.

The districts are rated according to a number of criteria, among them community transmission numbers.

The system uses four colours – red (denoting widespread community transmissions), orange (some risk of community transmissions), green (contained local outbreaks) and white (minimal risk). At this stage no Czech district is marked red or orange.
