Žlutý Pes: a dogged feature of the Czech rock scene
This month’s Music Profile features the Czech rock band Žlutý Pes— which translates as Yellow Dog. They have been one of the most successful and longest lasting features of the Czech musical scene.
The band fronted by the multi-talented Ondřej Hejma was already in existence ahead of the overthrow of Communism 20 years ago. But the band really took off in the mid-1990’s. Probably the band’s biggest hit was Sametová which translates in English as velvety. For more of that and the links with the Rolling Stones tune into Music Profile.
