The King of Czech swing passes away

Karel Hála, known affectionately as the “King of Czech Swing” has died at the age of 75. Mr Hála was a popular singer during the 1960s and 70s, performing swing numbers in front of large audiences. Also known as the Czech Sinatra, Mr Hála died as the result of a burst artery in his stomach.
