The Czech band Vltava was established in 1986 by the singer Robert Nebřenský and other renowned musicians.
By the time they released their first album eight years later, Vltava had already enjoyed huge popularity. Vltava is considered by fans and critics alike to be one of the most original bands on Czech music scene, mainly due to their ambiguous lyrics full of witty word plays, catchy melodies combining various genres and charismatic high-pitched voice of the lead singer.
