Blackfire in Prague
Blackfire is a high energy, politically driven punk group comprised of three Navajo Indian siblings - Jeneda, Clayson and Klee Benally. Born into the heart of a political land dispute area called Big Mountain on the Navajo Nation the Benally family is driven by the need to save as much as it can from its precious legacy and to spread awareness of traditions and a way of life that are being stifled by the demands of an increasingly consumerist society. The Bennalys recently ended their European tour in the Czech capital -bringing music and views which many young people here found powerful and refreshing.
