Ewald Osers
If you're interested in Czech literature - and especially poetry - it's very likely that you'll have come across Ewald Osers. He is one of the most respected of all Czech-English translators. This week, in acknowledgement of his work over a period that covers nearly sixty years, Ewald Osers is to be granted one of the highest honours this country can bestow on a non-Czech citizen, the Jan Masaryk Award. In this week's "One on One", Ewald Osers talks with David Vaughan about his life and work.
