NHL: Hronek helps Vancouver win, Gudas back in action

Czech defenceman Filip Hronek had an assist as Vancouver beat Anaheim 4-3 in overtime on Sunday. Hronek set up Jake DeBrusk’s power-play goal and reached his 40th assist of the season. On the Anaheim side, Czech goalie Lukáš Dostál made 22 saves but ended up on the losing team. Another Czech, Ducks captain Radko Gudas, returned to the line-up for the first time since March 30 and immediately drew attention with a first-period fight.

Elsewhere, Czech goalie Vítek Vaněček conceded four goals as Utah lost 1–4 to Calgary, with Adam Klapka also appearing for the Flames. David Pastrňák was held scoreless in Boston’s 3–2 win over Columbus, while Jakub Dobeš was on the bench as Montreal beat the Islanders.
