Czech Senate chair Miloš Vystrčil said upon his return from Ukraine that the country needs more military and humanitarian support. During his one-day visit to Kyiv on Thursday, Senator Vystrčil warned against territorial concessions to Russia and voiced support for Ukraine's integration into the EU.

Ukraine must not end up like Czechoslovakia under the Munich Agreement, as a result of which it lost part of its territory, Mr. Vystrčil said in an address to the Ukrainian Parliament. Senator Vystrčil, who was part of a delegation of Czech and Polish senators to Kyiv, said it was important to remember that concessions to dictators had never worked in the past. He said the EU must continue to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom and to help rebuild the country once the war is over.

The delegation of Czech and Polish senators was taken to villages in the vicinity of Kyiv to see the carnage wrought by Russian forces.
