New record: 42,000 Covid cases registered in CR Tuesday
Some 39,614 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, which is a new one-day record. The previous record was set a day earlier. In addition there were 2,459 confirmed re-infections, bringing the total to 42,073.
The seven-day case incidence increased to 1,689 per 100,000 inhabitants. This indicator was highest in Prague, with 2,618 per 100,000.
The number hospitalised with the coronavirus climbed slightly on Tuesday to 1,781, which is some way below previous highs.
