Motorists insist on nominating Turek

Motorists will insist on nominating their honorary president Filip Turek to the government, as he is the party’s most visible figure. This was stated by the head of Motorists, Petr Macinka, on the TV Nova programme Za pět minut dvanáct. He expressed a similar view today in an interview for Novinky.cz. President Petr Pavel has reservations about Turek serving as a member of the government, which he reiterated on Wednesday at a meeting with the likely future prime minister, Andrej Babiš (ANO). The new coalition is being formed by ANO, SPD and Motorists.
