More than 230,000 visas granted to Ukrainian refugees
The Czech Ministry of the Interior has granted over 230,000 special visas to refugees fleeing Russia’s war on Ukraine, according to newly released data by the Interior Ministry. However, the number of new residence permits issued per day is falling, with just under 3,600 granted on Friday.
According to Interior Minister Vít Rakušan, the overall number of Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic is estimated to be more than 300,000. Almost 50 percent of them are children, and 80 percent of the adults are women.
