Monthly sirens test called off to avoid creating panic

The regular test of public emergency sirens in the Czech Republic will not take place this week, the country’s fire service said on Monday. The alarms usually go off at noon on the first Wednesday of every month.

However they will remain silent this week to prevent panic among the public and out of respect for the Ukrainian citizens seeking safety in this country, the fire service said.
