Michael Douglas returns to Karlovy Vary for restored screening of Forman classic

American actor and producer Michael Douglas has arrived in Karlovy Vary to present a digitally restored version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the film festival. The screening marks the 50th anniversary of the film’s release. Douglas, who produced the Oscar-winning drama directed by Miloš Forman, will introduce it alongside Paul Zaentz, nephew of co-producer Saul Zaentz. Douglas last visited the Czech festival in 1998. The film won five major Academy Awards and is based on Ken Kesey’s novel about rebellion inside a psychiatric institution.
