Mf Dnes: Czech police to strengthen night patrols during New Year’s celebrations
Czech police will increase night patrols during this week’s New Year’s celebrations, the daily Mf Dnes reported on Wednesday. In Prague, patrols are to be doubled and police will be enforcing the ban on using pyrotechnics as well as the adherence to government coronavirus counter-measures.
The country is currently operating at level five of the PES counter-epidemic system, which includes a night curfew from 9pm and a ban on group meetings outside of family members. Those who break the rules can face paying a fine of up to CZK 10,000.
