Loprais wins Dakar stage, moves up to third as Macík loses lead

Aleš Loprais won the truck category in the sixth stage of the Rallye Dakar, climbing to third overall. His compatriot Martin Macík lost more than 45 minutes and dropped from the lead, which is now held by Dutch driver Mitchel van den Brink. Macík is second overall, around 35 minutes behind. Loprais, who celebrated his 20th career stage win, trails Macík by roughly ten minutes. In the car category, Martin Prokop finished 18 minutes behind stage winner Nasser Al-Attiyah and slipped out of the overall top ten to 14th place ahead of the rest day.
