LGBT+ rally against violence set for Wenceslas Sq. Wednesday

Organisations representing sexual minorities are set to hold a rally named Together Against Violence on Prague’s Wenceslas Square next Wednesday.

The LGBT+ groups say they expect up to 10,000 people to attend the event, where speakers will include the national nuclear safety chief Dana Drábová, the government commissioner for human rights, Klára Šimáčková Laurenčíková, and Roman Samotný, the owner of the Bratislava gay bar Tepláreň, outside which two young homosexual men were recently shot dead.

A march against violence was also held in Prague on Friday night.
