The annual Leoš Janáček International Music Festival will traditionally launch by a performance of the composer’s Sinfonietta. Meanwhile, Richard Strauss’ famous Oboe Concerto will be performed by the Czech Republic’s “oboe ambassador” Vilém Veverka. The festival will take place from May 29 to July 1 and will offer more than 30 events strewn across Ostrava and five other locations across Northern Moravia and Silesia.
