Krejčíková-Siniaková reach final of doubles competition at Australian Open

Barbora Krejčíková and Katerina Siniaková have reached the final of the doubles competition at the Australian Open after defeating Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova 6:2 and 6:3.

In the final, the favorites will face Beatriz Hadda Maia and Anna Danilina. The Brazilian and her Kazakh partner beat number two seed pair Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

Siniaková and Krejčíková have already won the French Open twice, and once at Wimbledon. In addition, they won gold in the Olympic doubles competition in Tokyo in 2021.
