Krejčíková only Czech singles player to remain in Australian Open

World No. 4 Barbora Krejčíková remains the only Czech singles player in the Australian Open after her compatriot Markéta Vondroušová was eliminated on Friday by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in three sets.

The Czech fourth seed will face two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka on Saturday for a place in the quarterfinals. In the women’s doubles, Krejčíková and her compatriot Kateřina Siniaková qualified for the third round.
