Krejčíková beaten in Australian Open quarter-finals

The Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejčíková has been knocked out of the Australian Open. The fourth seed lost 3-6 2-6 to American Madison Keys in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

Krejčíková called for medical assistance near the end of the first set and struggled for the remainder of the match.

She remains in the doubles competition in Melbourne, where she and Katerina Siniakova are set to compete in the quarter-finals.
