Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 wins BAFTA for best story

The Czech-made video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 by Warhorse Studios has won a BAFTA award for best story. The prize was announced by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The game beat five other nominees, including the French title Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which took home the award for best game. Kingdom Come was also nominated for best performer, but that category was won by Jennifer English. Set in early 15th-century Bohemia, the game follows a young man navigating a turbulent period of medieval history, with a strong emphasis on realism and storytelling.
