Kantar: elections would again be won by ANO, ODS far behind

The ANO party led by Andrej Babiš would again win elections to the Czech lower house, according to a January voting model by Kantar CZ for Czech Television. ANO would secure 34.5 percent of the vote, the same result as in the last elections. The Civic Democrats (ODS) would finish second with 16 percent, trailing ANO by almost 19 percentage points. The Mayors and Independents (STAN) would follow with 14 percent, while the Pirates would gain 9.5 percent. The Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) party would enter the chamber with 6.5 percent, while the Motorists’ party would hover around the five-percent threshold.
