Jordanian royal couple begin official visit to Czechia

President Petr Pavel and his wife Eva welcomed Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Queen Rania at Prague Castle on Friday, marking the start of their official visit to Czechia. The two countries have long cooperated in defence, including military medicine, logistics and training. A Czech medical programme operating in Jordan since 2013 has treated more than 4,200 patients. Following talks at Prague Castle, King Abdullah was received by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO). Their discussions are focusing on bilateral relations, the security situation in the Middle East and opportunities for further economic and defence cooperation.
