Interview with Lizzy Le Quesne
Contemporary dance has been enjoying ever more popularity in Prague and, with that in mind, dancers and choreographers from all over the world come to the city to see what it has to offer. They add a little colour to Czech dance performances and give the audience something new and more refreshing to see. Lizzy Le Quesne is a choreographer and dancer who has been living in Prague since last year. She is currently based at HAMU - the Academy of Performing Arts - as an artist in residence, which is a position that's funded by the British Council to introduce the students here to the trends that are currently being explored in Britain. She is also here as a free-lance choreographer, making her own work in contemporary dance. I met up with Lizzy to talk about her experiences in contemporary dance in the Czech Republic:
