Incoming ambassador says Czech-US relations are exceptionally strong
Incoming Czech ambassador to the United States Jakub Kulhánek says maintaining what he described as exceptionally strong relations between Prague and Washington will be his main priority. He said he would focus on concrete projects, including trade agreements and investment, pointing to the growing presence of major Czech companies in the United States. Kulhánek also said Czech diplomatic missions should strengthen links with the roughly 1.3 million Americans who claim Czech ancestry. A new Czech consulate general is due to open in Miami in October. Kulhánek previously served as Czech ambassador to the United Nations.
