Hairdressers and personal care services to open on May 3
Hairdressers, barber shops and other personal care services will be able to open on Monday, May 3, Trade and Industry Minister Karel Havlíček announced after Monday's session of the government. These services will be able to reopen regardless of the epidemiological situation in the coming days, on condition they adhere to the stated hygiene norms and both employees and clients have negative tests for Covid-19.
However, Mr. Havlíček said the reopening of shops, which was also planned on May 3, is less certain since it is unlikely that all districts will meet the required target of staying below 100 new cases per 1,000 inhabitants by the set date.
In response to the statement, the Union of Trade and Tourism warned the government not to further strain the patience of entrepreneurs, saying people would resort to civil disobedience if their expectations were dashed.
