Group of Czech senators visit Kyiv

A delegation of Czech and Polish senators are on a visit to Ukraine on Thursday at the invitation of the head of the Ukrainian Supreme Council Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Czech Senate chairman Miloš Vystrčil, who is heading the Czech delegation, told Czech Television he is due to address the Ukrainian Parliament. The group of senators will also be taken to villages around Kyiv to see the carnage wrought by Russian forces.

Earlier on Thursday, Mr Vystrčil released a photo of the group of senators on board a train with a comment that there are some invitations that cannot be declined.
