Government will decide on listing kratom as substance eligible for regulated sale

Kratom and its extract may soon be added to a new list of psychomodulatory substances eligible for regulated sale. The proposal comes from the Ministry of Health and will be discussed by the government on Wednesday.

Initially, the Ministry proposed including both kratom and cannabis with up to one percent THC on the list. However, in mid-February, the government postponed the decision, waiting for notification from the European Commission. The Commission did not approve the inclusion of cannabis but confirmed kratom.
