Government earmarks funds for 3 million vaccines from AstraZeneca
The government has earmarked 150 million crowns for the purchase of 3 million vaccines against Covid-19 being developed by the company AstraZeneca, the ctk news agency reported. The first delivery is expected sometime at the end of the year.
According to Health Minister Roman Prymula, the Czech Republic can acquire vaccines for seven million people altogether via the EU, but wants to leave open the option of buying from other companies as well in the event of problems.
AstraZeneca entered a new phase of testing in October.
