Last minute changes in number of votes from abroad
At the last minute, several additional thousand Czechs abroad have registered to vote in the parliamentary elections via data mailboxes, adding to the existing 24,000. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be able to provide an approximate count of those intending to vote by mail from abroad, a first-time option, sometime next week. However, even that number won’t be final, as individuals can still apply in person to vote by mail until October 1, the ministry told ČTK. The deadline for submitting written applications for postal voting in October’s parliamentary elections ends this afternoon.
