Government to discuss amendment delaying start of housing support measures until September

The government is preparing to postpone the launch of housing support for people in housing distress. Instead of starting in July, it could begin in September. Until the end of August, housing contact points would offer only advisory services. The group of people eligible to receive advice is also expected to be narrowed. The registration of apartments, the processing of authorizations to provide support, and the granting of allowances would be halted. This follows from a planned amendment to the Housing Support Act, which the government is set to discuss on Monday.
