Foreign Minister Lipavský opens Czech Pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka

Czechia is among the 160 countries showcasing their technology, culture and food at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, which opened to the public on Sunday. The Czech Republic is represented in Osaka by Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský who opened the Czech National Pavilion together with the Commissioner General for EXPO 2025 Ondrej Soska and representatives of Czech companies.

Designed by Apropos Architects, the Czech pavilion is built almost entirely from wood and glass. The pavilion is circular with a spiraling exterior, which takes the form of a ramp winding up around a sky lit atrium.

The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Cirk La Putyka and the Alfa Theatre from Plzeň will perform in Osaka during the exhibition.
