FM Lipavský to discuss AI chip exports with US tech firms

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský will meet with US tech companies during his visit to Washington later this week to discuss AI chip exports, the Foreign Ministry announced. The US plans to impose restrictions to prevent advanced technology from reaching Russia and China. According to Bloomberg, Czechia will face tighter export controls than some Western EU countries, a move criticized by the European Commission. Lipavský aims to lobby for unrestricted access. He will also meet members of the new US administration and Congress, attending the GLOBSEC Transatlantic Forum to discuss future cooperation. His visit runs until February 8.
