Five charged with terrorist activities in eastern Ukraine
Five people, who were detained by Czech police in different parts of the Czech Republic this week for fighting alongside pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, have been charged with involvement in terrorist attacks, financing and otherwise assisting terrorist groups in the so-called Donetsk People's Republic. All were members of paramilitary groups.
The state prosecutor has asked for three of the five to be remanded in custody. They could face up to twenty years for taking part in a terrorist attack and twelve for financing terrorist activities.
