Finance Ministry unveils draft budget for 2025

The Finance Ministry has unveiled its state budget proposal for 2025 with a projected CZK 230 billion deficit. Budget revenues will rise by 7.5 percent to CZK 2.086 trillion, while expenditures will rise by 5.7 percent to CZK 2.316 trillion. The state budget proposal reflects efforts to gradually reduce the gap in spending. The projected deficit for this year is CZK 252 billion and last year it was CZK 288.5 billion. However several ministries are not happy with the proposal and are pushing for an increase in funds to cover their needs.
