Film incentives expected to generate up to CZK 9 billion in Czechia this year
Film incentives in the Czech Republic are expected to generate between 8 to 9 billion crowns in 2022, just as in the last year before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the director of the State Cinematography Fund (SFK), Helena Bezděk Fraňková, announced on Thursday. The SFK is responsible for listing the incentives.
For years now, foreign film studios have been increasingly interested in shooting productions in the Czech Republic. Demand has been growing steadily since 2018, when global streaming platforms began investing in their own productions.
