Foreign film and TV productions return to Czechia after Covid-19 pause

Large foreign film and TV productions have started shooting in the Czech Republic again after a pause caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Czech News Agency reported on Sunday. Foreign film crews are attracted to the country by Czech film incentives.

One of the projects is the most expensive Netflix production The Gray Man, which is due to start shooting in Prague in July, the Czech Cinematography Fund wrote on its Facebook page. The espionage thriller, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in the lead roles, is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

Another Hollywood star currently filming in the Czech Republic is Adam Sandler, who will star in a Netflix adaptation of the novel Spaceman of Bohemia, written by Czech author Jaroslav Kalfař.
