Fiala says first foreign trip will be to Slovakia
The Czech prime minister designate, Petr Fiala, says his first foreign trip after his government is sworn in on Friday will be to neighbouring Slovakia.
Speaking on Radiožurnál on Tuesday, Mr. Fiala also said that the Pirate Party’s Jan Lipavský would have to respect the new coalition government’s agreed policy on the Visegrad Four and Israel. Mr. Lipavský’s positions on those were among the reasons President Miloš Zeman threatened not to appoint him.
Mr. Fiala said the president had not set any conditions for dropping his original opposition to the nominee for foreign minister.
