February saw below-average number of cyber incidents in Czechia
The Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB) recorded just 13 cyber incidents in February, the lowest monthly figure since April 2023 and well below the 12-month average of over 20. Notably, none of the incidents were linked to Russian-speaking hacktivist groups, a first in several months. Most cases involved DDoS attacks, which flood servers with traffic to knock them offline. NÚKIB also reported two ransomware-related cases and a rare physical breach of a network cabinet. In 2023, NÚKIB logged 268 cyber incidents, peaking at 47 in October.
