Febiofest main competition award goes to Swedish film ‘Charter’

The Febiofest film festival in Prague wrapped up on Wednesday night. The Swedish film ‘Charter’, by Amanda Kernell, about a mother fighting for her children, has won the Main Competition at. The jury decided to award a Special Mention to the film ‘Listen’, by Ana Rocha de Sousa, which tells the story of a Portuguese family living on the outskirts of London.

‘Dinner in America’ was selected by an audience jury as the best comedy, while the Amnesty International Febiofest Award 2021 went to ‘Exile’, a film that reflects on issues around immigration and integration. A Special Mention in that section was awarded to ‘Any Day Now’, a hopeful story about an Iranian family in Finland.
