FAO office for Europe and Central Asia moves from Rome to Budapest
The FAO - the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organisation - has chosen Budapest to be the new home of its office for Europe and Central Asia, which has been in Rome. An FAO centre is also moving to the Hungarian capital, responsible for services ranging from organisational, to financial, and logistical service for the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Radio Budapest's Sándor Laczkó spoke to Marianna Kovács, the deputy head of the EU integration and international relations department, at the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture about Budapest's new role.
