Ex-vaccination chief says politics governing PM’s allotment of vaccines

The former national Covid vaccinations coordinator, Zdeněk Blahuta, says Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has decided on the allotment of vaccines to individual regions on a political basis. Mr. Blahuta made the comment to news outlet Seznam Zprávy.

Responding, Mr. Babiš said that Mr. Blahuta had been responsible for the country’s vaccination strategy but had totally failed.

Around one-third of the vaccines delivered to date have been to the Prague and South Moravian regions and the Liberec governor has complained his region has received relatively few.
