Czech national Covid vaccinations chief Blahuta quits

The Czech Republic's national coordinator for Covid-19 vaccinations, Zdeněk Blahuta, has stood down from the post. Announcing the news on Monday, the Ministry of Health said that the vaccinations chief was leaving for health reasons. Mr. Blahuta himself told news website iRozhlas.cz that he would say nothing about his departure, only revealing that he was “very glad” to have his time in the position behind him. However, he also said he had genuine health reasons for departing. He is being replaced by Kateřina Baťhová, an official at the Ministry of Health.
