European figure skating championships begin in Tallinn with Czech hopes in ice dance

The European Figure Skating Championships kick off on Wednesday in Tallinn. Czech hopes are highest in ice dance, represented by sibling pairs Natálie and Filip Taschler and Kateřina and Daniel Mrázek. Czech skaters Georgii Reshtenko, Filip Ščerba, and Michaela Vrašťáková will also compete in individual categories. The Taschlers aim to build on their sixth-place finish in 2023. "Our goal is to enjoy the performance and skate like we did during preparations," said Natálie. The Mrázeks, junior world champions in 2023, will debut a new free dance set to In Your Black Eyes.
