EU summit takes place in Prague

An informal EU summit began on Friday morning at Prague Castle at which leaders of EU countries are discussing further aid to Ukraine and solutions to the soaring energy prices that Europe is currently facing. The possibility of capping the price of gas used for electricity production is on the table, but no decision can be expected at this meeting since it is informal, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. She said today's discussion was the first step towards preparing for the official EU summit in Brussels in two weeks.
