EU Council President holds talks with Czech PM in Prague

EU Council President Charles Michel held talks in Prague on Thursday with Prime Minister Petr Fiala. The focus of the talks was the upcoming Czech Presidency in the second half of this year.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, Mr Fiala said he told the EU Council President that the Czech Republic needs nuclear energy to be considered a clean energy source.

He also said the government was ready to considered increasing the budget for the Czech presidency of the European Council budgeted by the Babiš government.
