The employees of Czech Radio are holding a one-day strike

On Monday June 22, employees of Czech Radio, including the staff of Radio Prague International, are holding a one-day strike in protest against proposed amendments to the laws governing Czech Radio and Czech Television. Participants in this action believe that the changes threaten the independence and financial stability of the Czech Republic’s public-service media. For that reason there is no Radio Prague International newsletter today.
