Dozens of people commemorate interwar politician Antonín Švehla

Several dozen people, including former president Václav Klaus, gathered in Prague ’s district of Hostivař on Saturday to commemorate the interwar politician Antonín Švehla, founder of the Agrarian Party.

Antonín Švehla served as prime minister of Czechoslovakia for six years during the First Republic and headed the Agrarian Party from 1909 to his death in 1933.

The event was organized by Antonín Švehla Association on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the politician’s death.
