Deputy Foreign Minister Marian to represent Czechia at Saudi summit on Ukraine

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Marian will represent Czechia at a summit in Saudi Arabia in early August at which Western and important developing countries are set to discuss Ukraine. The news was announced on Monday by a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Czech News Agency said it was unclear whether delegates would attend a gathering in person or meet online.

The Wall Street Journey said on Saturday that up to 30 states would attend the summit. It said the US and Europe were trying to win broad international support for a peace deal whose terms are set by Ukraine. Russia is not invited to the event.
