Czechs lose 2:5 to Switzerland in ice hockey

In its second World Championships game, the Czech national ice hockey team lost 2:5 to Switzerland. The Czech team went into the lead in the 15 minute after Filip Chytil scored a powerplay goal. However, the Swiss quickly recovered and went into a 4:1 lead. The Czechs managed to score a second goal in the closing minutes of the game, but the Swiss managed to convert another powerplay into a goal just before the end of the game, scoring four powerplay goals in total.

The Czechs have lost both of their two starting games at this year’s World Championships in Latvia. They will next face Belarus on Monday evening.
